FFWD - Celery-celery soup

For French Friday with Dorie this week, we had to make Celery-Celery Soup.  The double celery comes from celery stalks and celeriac.

Although it is officially spring here, it is still soup season so I was happy to make soup.  I wasn't really sure about the celery flavour - I am not a celeriac fan - but  in the end, I found this soup to be pleasant in taste, and even better with a splosh of crème fraiche on top.  This soup may not be a beauty to look at. but it tastes quite good.

To see what the other Doristas thought of this soup, visit the LYL section of the website.

This tastes good for sure but I wish I would have added less liquid - I forgot that Dorie likes liquidy soups! Might have to add some more celeriac next time!

I was intrigued by the name - thought maybe I needed my glasses to read it properly - I think this sounds great and it is still a bit chilly today - though I think you better eat up your soup before it gets warmer in the next few days :-)

I didn't enjoy this one. Felt like I was eating applesauce soup... which is not an entirely bad thing, but just not what I was craving.

We enjoyed this very much, and it was perfect for this time of the year.

Soup is so perfect in fall and spring. I liked this much more than I expected. Happy Spring.

This was surprisingly great - we are still in hot summer weather in Palm Springs, 102 today so we tried the soup room temperature/chilled and it was still good.

I enjoyed this soup! Mine had the texture of a liquidty smoothie!

I like your thick soup. You are like me. I always add liquid slowly, don't like thin soup.

I agree that it needed the addition of some cream. I think croutons were a must also.

Yours has such an interesting colour - mine was much lighter. I enjoyed this one, but my partner wasn't thrilled.

Interesting color on that celery celery soup...I was expecting it to be greenish white! Looks delicious, though, and every season is soup season!! :-)
